Breast Cancer Survivors Have Options for Follow-Up Care

According to a study published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, important breast cancer outcomes were similar whether follow-up care was provided by a cancer specialist or by a family physician. Thanks to improvements in early detection and treatment, many women with breast cancer can expect to be long-term survivors. For breast cancer survivors, follow-up care generally includes regularly scheduled exams and mammograms.
