Around January 2008, I began sending mid-week emails to the members of the class that summarized the things we studied the previous Sunday. This was to accomplish two things:

  • Make the lesson available to people who were absent
  • Help solidify the lesson in the minds of people who were present

I know from my own experience that on Wednesday I have trouble remembering even the topic of last Sunday’s class or sermon, let alone its content. I’m not alone in this. So, this was a way to help people whose memories are as bad as my own. :-)

Later, I sensed God leading me to make the lessons available to the entire Internet community. Hence this blog.

Here are the studies currently available. More will become available in the future as time permits:

Nehemiah
Building Impossible Walls:
Lessons in Godly Leadership

Use this 9-part study through the book of Nehemiah to discover principles of godly leadership and how to apply them to your own ministry and work.

James
Faith Meets Real Life

James’ focus is on one issue — what does it look like to live contrary to our natural inclinations? He gives us practical descriptions of what faith looks like when applied to real life and chllenges us all in our daily walk.

Revelation
And They Lived Happily Ever After

In Rev 1:3, God promised us “Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it.”

Let’s study these prophecies, take their words to heart, and be blessed together!

The most current posted lesson can always be read by going to http://www.jbryant.org/library/archives.

I hope to continue adding lessons for future class series.

As time permits, I’ll also add lessons we studied prior to Nehemiah (starting with a series called “That The Blind May See” where we learned from Jesus how to win, develop, and send disciples).

Anyone may feel free to comment on any post with disagreement, agreement, or additional insights. I enjoy the dialog!

In the grip of His grace,
